End of life for XP, Office 2003, and Server 2003

Windows XP and Server 2003, Exchange 2003 and Office 2003 have all been around for 12 years now.  Microsoft has completely ended support for Windows XP and Office 2003 and is ending support for Server 2003 and Exchange 2003 this July.  What does that mean for your organization?

This means that there will be no more security updates or any technical support from Microsoft.  Operating systems that are no longer receiving security updates are potentially vulnerable to previously-undisclosed security flaws.  Many software products will no longer run on XP or Server 2003.Additionally, any companies that are required to meet certain compliance standards such as HIPAA or PCI will no longer be in compliance.

If you have any of these products in your organization, now is the time to begin the upgrade process.  There are many options available.  XP can be upgraded to the latest Windows Operating System and will receive a free upgrade to Windows 10, when it is released.  Office 2003 and Exchange 2003 can both be migrated to Office 365.  We can help you plan for these upgrades.  Contact us today for a free consultation.
